Event Guidelines

There are a couple of things that we feel you should know, to make your day more enjoyable.

The first is how you should dress. The dress code for the club is casual. T-shirts and shorts are not allowed. While Golf Carts will be provided to get you from station to station, the roads are a combination of gravel and hard dirt, so you should wear a rubber soled comfortable shoe.

The weather is usually unpredictable and sometimes the mornings are chilly and the afternoons warm. We would suggest that you dress with layers of clothing that can be easily removed or added as needed. We will shoot rain or shine so please bring a poncho or hood.

SFC will provide you with a pair of shooting glasses and earplugs. You are welcome to bring your own shotgun but it must be a break type of gun, pump and semi-automatics are not permitted. Shotguns will be provided, as well as all the steel ammunition you will need to participate in the event.

The event will begin at 8:00 am for those who wish to take instruction. If you have never shot before or are a beginner, you must take instructions in order to shoot during the day. You will need this extra time with an instructor before everyone begins to shoot. Instructors will be available at no charge. Instructions will end at 8:45 am. For those who do not need instruction, arrival time at the lodge is no later than 8:15 am.  Breakfast is open from 8 to 9:00 am and we begin our program at 9:00. All participants will break out into their respective squads and they will shoot 100 rounds, which will be scored. At the completion of the shoot we will reassemble for lunch, desserts, cordials, cigars, raffles, live auction and awards.
